Freedom of expression in the modern world – Is online abuse silencing women?
december 13, 2022 @ 12:00 e m - 1:00 e m
What is victimization online, and how does it affect people being targeted? Is this a gendered form of victimization? These questions will be discussed in relation to the challenges we face, legally, when balancing the right to freedom of expression with the right to not be abused online.
In this lecture I will talk about these questions, with a specific focus on women being targeted online, and how this can affect their possibilities to partake in the public discussion.
